It’s important to note that an individual word may function as more than one part of speech when used in different contexts and circumstances. Over time, it’s common to forget what we all learned about grammar in English 101 or our 9th-grade English class, and as the world becomes more digital, we find ourselves relying on spell check, grammar check, or apps like Grammarly, to ensure that what we’re writing is grammatically correct.
